Drum Lagging

The purpose of lagging for drums, rolls, and rollers is to create increased friction between the conveyor belt and the drum. Lagging diminishes slippage of the belt. As a result, the belt runs more smoothly, which – in turn – improves the overall functioning of the conveyor system.

Given the above-mentioned effects, good quality drum lagging is crucial for your conveyor belt installation. Moreover, lagging considerably prolongs the system’s lifespan, not only that of the drum but also that of the belt.

REPA can deliver multiple types of drum lagging, all with their own specific features, for example in terms of form, hardness, composition, as well as oil- and grease-resistance.
